Debuting in 2004, the third-generation Audi A6 (chassis code C6) was styled by Walter de Silva, introducing a massive Singleframe grille and muscular, elongated proportions. With overall length exceeding 4.9 meters and an extended wheelbase, the C6 provided unprecedented cabin space and high-speed stability. The model achieved immediate success, earning the inaugural World Car of the Year award in 2005.

Engine choices comprised direct-injection FSI gasoline engines (2.0 TFSI, 2.8 FSI, 3.2 FSI, and 4.2 FSI V8) along with 2.0 TDI, 2.7 TDI, and 3.0 TDI V6 diesels. Tech features included the Multi Media Interface (MMI) control system, optional adaptive air suspension, and Matrix-like lighting elements. The C6 generation firmly established Audi's reputation for technology-driven luxury.
