Audi A7 Enhanced by Fuel-Cell Power in Construction
According to Audi’s tech boss Wolfgang Dürheimer, the auto-brand is developing a fuel-cell A7.
The brand-new fuel-cell A7 could become a part of Audi’s ‘tron’ family of alternative-power cars, which features the A3 E-Tron EV. The vehicle is in construction at the moment, and will start tests by August of 2013.
Audi has had fuel-cell car probations in the past with the Q5 HFC, which was constructed as a technology presentation.
Fuel-cell cars carry on looking as though they might be the next big thing, as EVs are still not convenient enough. Fuel cells on the other hand can be filled faster, and only emit water as a bi-product. The majority of fuel-cell enhanced cars use hydrogen, though other substances can be involved as well.
