Audi’s A6 Allroad Is Officially Headed to America
Audi has confirmed that the new A6 Allroad will be offered in the United States, expanding its wagon lineup here with a more accessible alternative to the RS6 Avant.
Sales are expected to begin in 2027, and the company says it recognizes the strong interest many Audi fans have in the Allroad name. In a message to Motor1, Audi said it plans to provide more market-specific details closer to launch.
The A6 Allroad sits higher than the standard A6 Avant, thanks to an added 1.3 inches of suspension travel. It also comes with Quattro all-wheel drive and rear-wheel steering as standard equipment.
For Europe, the model debuts as a plug-in hybrid using a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine paired with an electric motor. Together, they produce 362 horsepower and 360 pound-feet of torque, enough for a 0-62 mph run in 5.5 seconds.
A diesel version is also part of the lineup overseas, but it is not expected to be sold in the U.S. That model uses a 3.0-liter V6 TDI with 295 horsepower and 428 pound-feet of torque, reaching 62 mph in 5.4 seconds.
In Europe, the A6 Allroad E-Hybrid goes on sale this fall, with German pricing starting at €80,250. The diesel model begins at €77,250.
For American wagon fans, this is welcome news: the A6 Allroad may not be an RS6, but it should deliver a strong mix of comfort, utility, and premium appeal.
