2027 Audi Q7 Costs More, and the SQ7 Is Closing In on Six Figures
Audi has reworked its midsize luxury SUV duo for 2027, giving both the Q7 and SQ7 updated styling, improved powertrains, and newer onboard tech. The changes come with a noticeable bump in price, especially for the performance-focused SQ7.
When the 2027 Q7 reaches US dealerships in the fourth quarter of this year, it will begin at $70,900, which is $3,300 above the outgoing model. Power comes from a twin-turbo 2.9-liter V6 rated at 429 horsepower and 442 pound-feet of torque. Audi says the SUV can reach 60 mph in 4.8 seconds, trimming 0.7 seconds from its previous time.
For buyers wanting more muscle, the SQ7 sits at the top of the range. It uses a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 that delivers 591 horsepower and 590 pound-feet of torque. Audi estimates a 0-to-60 mph run of 3.7 seconds, an improvement of 0.3 seconds. That extra speed brings a higher sticker, too: the SQ7 now starts at $98,700, up $4,900.
How the Q7 Stacks Up
The Q7 is aimed at rivals such as the BMW X5 and Mercedes-Benz GLE, though it plays in a slightly different space thanks to its three-row layout. The BMW X5 starts at $69,800 for the 40 trim with a 394-horsepower turbocharged inline-six, putting it just below the Audi in price.
Mercedes has also refreshed the GLE for the new model year, but pricing has not been announced yet. The current 2026 GLE starts at $62,250 in base form, while the 375-horsepower GLE 450 is priced at $72,250. A 2.0-liter hybrid version is expected to remain in the lineup, which should help keep the GLE competitive on price.
