2019 BMW 4-Series Gran Turismo: the new beginning

The new BMW 4-Series Gran Turismo will be on the market in 2019.

The electric version of the Bavarian sedan will appear later, with autonomy of 500 kilometers and a power of 350 hp. The German company is confident that the electric BMW 4 Series Gran Turismo will be worthy of competition Tesla Model 3.

After the success of the i3 and i8 models in the market of hybrid and electric cars, the BMW Group is preparing to release several new electric versions of its cars. First on the list are the electric Mini, the debut of which is scheduled for 2018 and the electric version of the crossover BMW X3, the appearance of which is expected in 2019.

However, the foreign Autocar magazine reports that BMW plans to release another electric novelty in the near future. This is an electric car BMW 4-Series Gran Turismo, which will be first introduced to the public in 2019. The car should replace the current generation of the BMW 4-Series Gran Coupe because of low sales of the latter.

It is expected that the originally Bavarian novelty BMW 4 Series Gran Turismo will be available with a gasoline engine and in the plug-in hybrid version. Later, in 2020, there will be an electric version of the car, which should make direct competition with Tesla Model 3.

The electric BMW 4-Series Gran Turismo will have a capacity of 350 hp. and autonomy of 500 kilometers.
