New 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe in Chicago

Hyundai has tried a new facelift on its Santa Fe. The model is showcased at the Auto Show in Chicago.

You could see the refreshed 2016 Santa Fe last year in Frankfurt. It was designed for the European market. Almost 6 months later the producer decided to present the 2017 model year for America. The vehicle features an innovated front end design, radiator enclosure surrounded by sweptback projector headlamps. The restyled front bumper has integrated the latest Tucson-inspired LED daytime running lights. 17-, 18- and19-inch wheels come together with the new styles.

As to the cabin, it will boast regular 5-inch colour LCD display and more cup holders. There also will be the latest generation infotainment set-up and an array of safety and assistance options (Lane Departure Warning, adaptive lights with High Beam Assist, Smart Cruise Control and Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection). The rear-view camera will come as the regular equipment.

The US range of engines will be the same. The Drive Mode selection with Eco, Sport and Normal settings will be introduced by the company. The Santa Fe will be sold with a 2.4-litre unit generating 185 hp, a 3.3-litre six-cylinder producing 290 hp and a 2.0 turbo outputting 245 hp.

Hyundai assures that the 2017 Santa Fe will cost starting from $25,320.
