Audi Executives state about the Turbocharged Engine for the R8

The company’s executives have stated that the latest R8 will be sold with a turbocharged engine with the lapse of time.

Motoring writes that Prof. Dr. Ulrich Hackenberg, the chief of the company’s Technical Development, considers going to a turbocharged engine sometime to be unpreventable. It looks like the automaker will add it in this offering cycle. In such a way the line-up will be fuller. Heinz Peter Hollerweger, the quattro GmbH Managing Director, stated that such kind of motor will probably replace its predecessor’s 4.2-litre eight-cylinder engine.

The bosses did not want to tell other details. Though, some earlier reports assure that the vehicle might be sold with a 2.5-litre V5 turbocharged motor or a twin-turbo six-cylinder engine.
