Second generation of the Volvo S90 full-size executive sedan built on the modular SPA platform, in production since 2016.
The second-generation Volvo S90 luxury sedan was unveiled in Gothenburg in December 2015 and entered production for the 2017 model year. Built on the Scalable Product Architecture (SPA), it is produced as a 4-door sedan, alongside long-wheelbase LWB and ultra-luxurious Excellence trim variants. It features Thor's Hammer headlights and distinctive C-shaped taillights.
Powertrains center on 2.0-liter Drive-E engines, spanning T5/T6 petrols, D4/D5 diesels, T8 Twin Engine / Recharge plug-in hybrids, and B-series mild-hybrids. A minor 2020 facelift refreshed fog lights, spoiler design, and taillight graphics.
