About this generation

The second-generation Volkswagen Tayron, unveiled in 2024, became a global three-row crossover replacing the Tiguan Allspace.

The second-generation Volkswagen Tayron debuted in autumn 2024, evolving into a global model positioned between the Tiguan and Touareg to replace the Tiguan Allspace. Constructed on the updated MQB evo platform, the vehicle offers both five-passenger and seven-passenger cabin layouts. Exterior design features illuminated front and rear Volkswagen logos, continuous LED light bars, and optional IQ.Light HD matrix headlights. The cabin incorporates a large 15-inch infotainment screen and digital instrumentation.

Engine offerings for the second-generation Tayron encompass 1.5 eTSI mild-hybrid engines, 2.0 TSI turbocharged gasoline units, 2.0 TDI turbodiesels, and advanced eHybrid plug-in hybrid powertrains delivering over 100 km of electric range. All variants transmit power through DSG dual-clutch automatics, with 4Motion all-wheel drive available on higher-spec diesel and gasoline models.
