Second generation Toyota Venza mid-size crossover constructed on the TNGA-K modular architecture, powered exclusively by a THS II hybrid drivetrain.
The second generation Toyota Venza was unveiled in May 2020 for the North American market, serving as a rebadged variant of the fourth-generation Japanese market Toyota Harrier (XU80). Built upon Toyota's modular TNGA-K platform, the vehicle features a lightweight high-rigidity structure and an independent multi-link rear suspension layout. The exterior showcases a fastback-inspired crossover silhouette defined by narrow LED headlights and a continuous full-width LED rear light bar. The interior introduced premium appointments, including an available 12.3-inch touchscreen, head-up display, and the electrochromic Star Gaze fixed panoramic glass roof with switchable transparency.
Unlike its predecessor, the XW80 series was offered solely as a hybrid electric vehicle (HEV). The Toyota Hybrid System II setup links a 2.5-liter A25A-FXS Dynamic Force engine with three electric motors to deliver a combined system output of 222 horsepower through an eCVT. Standard Electronic On-Demand All-Wheel Drive (E-Four) utilizes a independent electric motor on the rear axle to instantly allocate torque when needed. Standard equipment encompasses the comprehensive Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 active safety suite. Model production concluded in 2024.
