The third generation Toyota Noah (R80) was manufactured from 2014 to 2021, debuting a full hybrid powertrain option for the first time.
The third-generation Toyota Noah minivan, designated R80, launched in January 2014. Built on a low-floor chassis that lowered floor height by 85 mm compared to its predecessor, the R80 delivered superior cabin accessibility and expanded headroom. The exterior featured a prominent front grille and sharp LED headlights. Crucially, the R80 generation introduced a hybrid variant alongside traditional petrol engines.
Gasoline models utilized a 2.0-liter 3ZR-FAE engine (152 hp) matched to a Super CVT-i, available in FWD and 4WD. The Noah Hybrid integrated a 1.8-liter 2ZR-FXE Atkinson-cycle engine with an electric motor to yield 136 total system horsepower and exceptional fuel economy. A 2017 facelift brought aggressive front styling revisions, enhanced cabin trim, and standard Toyota Safety Sense automated emergency braking.
