The third-generation 2026 Toyota C-HR transitions entirely to battery-electric propulsion, built upon the dedicated e-TNGA modular architecture shared with the Toyota bZ family, Lexus RZ, and Subaru Solterra. The vehicle retains its signature fastback crossover body style while growing in overall dimensions to 177.9 inches in length, noticeably longer than previous generations. This dimensional increase expands passenger room and provides 25.4 cubic feet of cargo capacity behind the second row of seats.

Under the hood, the powertrain replaces previous internal combustion and hybrid systems with a standard dual-motor all-wheel-drive (AWD) layout generating 338 horsepower. Acceleration from 0 to 60 mph takes approximately 5.0 seconds, representing a substantial performance increase compared to the previous gasoline model's 10.1 seconds. Electrical energy is stored in a 74.7-kWh lithium-ion battery pack delivering an estimated driving range of up to 290 miles. The vehicle integrates an 11-kW onboard AC charger alongside a North American Charging Standard (NACS) charging port capable of a 10-to-80 percent DC fast recharge in approximately 30 minutes.

The interior is upgraded with a standard 14.0-inch touchscreen infotainment interface with dedicated EV route planning, dual wireless smartphone charging pads, and advanced driver-assistance technologies. Available in SE and XSE trim levels, the model offers 18- or 20-inch alloy wheels, a power liftgate, a digital rearview mirror, a 360-degree camera system, and traffic jam assist functionality.
