Suzuki Jimny Sierra II (JB43W) gallery (1998–2018)
The second-generation Suzuki Jimny Sierra (JB43W) off-roader was produced from 1998 to 2018.
Launching in Japan in January 1998 (initially as the Jimny Wide JB33, later transitioning to the JB43W chassis), the second-generation Jimny Sierra featured wide fender flares and body-colored bumpers over the third-generation Jimny platform. Built on a ladder-frame chassis with coil-sprung 3-link solid live axles, it offered push-button drive-select 4WD.
Powered from 2000 onward by the 1.3-liter M13A DOHC VVT four-cylinder engine (85 hp), it paired with a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic transmission. Facelifts in 2004 and 2012 updated the instrument panel, pushbutton transfer controls, and hood air scoops.
