The first-generation wide-body Suzuki Jimny Sierra (JB31/JB32) was produced from 1993 to 1998.

The 'Jimny Sierra' badge premiered in Japan in May 1993 to designate wide-track non-kei versions of the second-generation Jimny (JB31W/JB32W chassis). Featuring wide plastic fender flares, broader bumpers, and expanded track width, it retained a heavy-duty steel ladder frame, solid live axles, and part-time 4WD with a dual-range transfer case.

The initial JB31W used a 1.3-liter G13BA engine (70 hp) on leaf springs. In late 1995, the JB32W upgrade introduced a 16-valve 1.3-liter G13BB engine (85 hp) and replaced leaf springs with coil springs on all four wheels, improving ride comfort and suspension articulation.
