Unveiled at the November 2023 Los Angeles Auto Show, the sixth-generation Forester (SL code) introduced a completely restyled front fascia featuring an enlarged grille seamlessly integrated into slim LED headlights. Built on a full inner-frame Subaru Global Platform construction, torsional rigidity improved by 10%. Engine options include the 2.5-liter FB25 naturally aspirated flat-four (180 hp) and a next-generation e-Boxer hybrid system. The engineering setup effectively combined the low center of gravity inherent to the horizontally-opposed engine layout with a rigid chassis frame, delivering precise handling and composure across dry pavement and slippery surfaces alike.
