The fourth generation Pontiac Grand Am was produced from 1992 to 1998 on a heavily updated GM N-body platform. The car retained coupe and sedan versions, but received a completely new aerodynamic body with aggressive lighting and prominent body cladding. Under the hood, various Quad 4 series engines (2.3 and 2.4 liters) were installed, as well as 3.1-liter and 3.3-liter V6 engines paired with manual and automatic transmissions. In 1996, the model underwent a facelift, bringing interior revisions, improved ergonomics, and new trim options. The car became a true bestseller for the brand in the US and Canadian markets thanks to its combination of dynamic looks and affordable pricing.
