Entering key markets in 2015, the C13 generation of the Nissan Tiida aligned the nameplate with the European-designed Nissan Pulsar hatchback, bringing a sharper, more dynamic presence to the compact C-segment. Underpinned by the Renault-Nissan Alliance modular platform architecture, the five-door hatchback retained the model's hallmark interior spaciousness and class-leading rear knee room while significantly upgrading structural rigidity and cabin refinement over the previous C12 generation. Visually, the C13 departed from the softer curves of its predecessor by adopting Nissan's signature V-Motion front grille, boomerang-shaped lighting signatures, and sculpted character lines along the bodywork. Powertrain availability was tailored to specific regional demands: in Russia and the CIS, the hatchback was equipped with a dependable 1.6-liter naturally aspirated four-cylinder petrol engine paired with either a five-speed manual transmission or a continuously variable transmission (CVT), whereas European Pulsar counterparts and certain Asian markets also utilized downsized turbocharged gasoline engines and turbodiesel units. Over its prolonged production cycle—particularly in China, where the Dongfeng-Nissan joint venture continued manufacturing and updating the C13 well after its discontinuation in other territories—the model received facelifts introducing revised front and rear fascias, two-tone exterior color options, larger touchscreen multimedia systems with intelligent connectivity, and expanded driver-assistance features such as autonomous emergency braking and blind-spot monitoring.
