Third modern generation of the off-roader (W465) featuring electrified powertrains and the return of the factory cabriolet.
The W465 generation is built upon a substantially updated ladder-frame platform with independent front suspension and an adaptive chassis. While preserving its iconic boxy styling, the vehicle gains refined aerodynamic details, new bumper designs, and modernized lighting signatures. A major highlight of the generation alongside the standard five-door SUV body is the return of the four-door Cabriolet, which features a fully automatic folding fabric soft-top mechanism and a redesigned rear layout integrating the third brake light into the spare wheel cover.
The powertrain lineup relies heavily on electrification, incorporating mild-hybrid 48-volt systems across its turbocharged inline-six units and handcrafted 4.0-liter AMG twin-turbo V8 engines, alongside dedicated electric propulsion variants. Inside, the W465 incorporates the latest generation of the MBUX digital infotainment suite with dedicated off-road telemetry and virtual transparent hood technology, raising both on-road refinement and all-terrain capabilities.
