Maserati Ghibli III (M157) gallery (2013–2024)
An executive sports sedan that brought volume sales and introduced the brand's first turbodiesel and mild-hybrid powertrains.
The third-generation Maserati Ghibli, internally designated M157, transformed the nameplate into a four-door executive sports sedan positioned below the Quattroporte. Built on an aluminum-intensive rear-wheel-drive platform shared with the larger sedan, the M157 featured double-wishbone front suspension and a five-link rear setup, with optional Skyhook adaptive damping. Powertrain offerings centered on a Ferrari-assembled 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged V6 with outputs ranging from 330 hp to 430 hp, while the top-tier Trofeo variant packed a 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 delivering 580 hp. The model marked the brand's first diesel application with a 3.0-liter V6 turbodiesel, and received a 2.0-liter 48-volt mild-hybrid setup during the 2020 mid-cycle update. Power was transmitted via a ZF eight-speed automatic transmission to either the rear wheels or through the intelligent Q4 all-wheel-drive system. Major facelifts introduced GranLusso and GranSport trim structures alongside updated digital cockpits, targeting global markets across North America, Europe, and Asia.
