The fourth-generation Kia Rio (global code YB; CIS/China code FB) premiered at the Paris Motor Show in late 2016. Built on the GB platform, its wheelbase stretched to 2,580 mm, with the 5-door hatchback spanning 4,065 mm and the sedan extending to 4,385 mm. In CIS markets, the rugged Rio X-Line (later Rio X) cross-hatchback gained widespread acclaim for its 195 mm ground clearance and protective body armor.
