The fifth generation Isuzu Forward was launched in May 2007, featuring a completely redesigned lineup of 4H and 6H series engines complying with stringent emission regulations. Later, the engine range was expanded with highly efficient D-CORE powerplants, as well as all-wheel-drive 6x6 variants. Through scheduled updates, the truck received a revised chrome grille, LED projector headlights, and modern safety features with advance failure-detection communication systems. In 2017, the fifth generation entered North America as the FTR and FVR models, later adopting Cummins engines. Production continued until 2023, maintaining market leadership in its segment.
