The fourth-generation Hyundai Verna (HC chassis) debuted in 2017. Designed as a subcompact sedan, it featured a 2,600 mm wheelbase and a rigid body structure comprising 54.5% advanced high-strength steel. The HC was marketed heavily across India, China, and the Middle East.
Engines included 1.4-liter Kappa, 1.6-liter Gamma petrol engines (123 hp), and a 1.5-liter CRDi diesel for India. A 2020 facelift added dark-chrome mesh grilles, full-LED headlights, and a digital instrument cluster.
