Hyundai Genesis Coupe I (BK) gallery (2008–2016)
The rear-wheel-drive Hyundai Genesis Coupe (BK) sports car was produced from 2008 to 2016, powered by turbocharged 2.0L and 3.8L V6 engines.
The Hyundai Genesis Coupe (BK chassis) debuted at the New York International Auto Show in March 2008 as Hyundai's first rear-wheel-drive sports coupe. Built on a shortened chassis derived from the Genesis BH sedan, it featured aggressive styling cues, a signature drop-beltline side window design, and a Torsen limited-slip differential on performance trims.
Powertrains included a 2.0-liter turbocharged Theta four-cylinder (210-275 hp) and a 3.8-liter Lambda RS DOHC V6 (306-353 hp). Transmissions comprised 6-speed manuals, 5/6-speed ZF automatics, and Hyundai's 8-speed automatic. A 2012 facelift introduced an aggressive hexagonal front fascia, redesigned headlamps, and increased engine horsepower ratings.
