About this generation
The first generation of the Geely EX2 compact electric hatchback has been in production since 2024.
The first generation of the Geely EX2 (known as Geely Xingyuan in China) was introduced in 2024, establishing itself as a high-volume compact electric passenger vehicle. The car is engineered on Geely's dedicated GEA electric platform, featuring an independent multi-link rear suspension and a rigid body construction with an underfloor-mounted battery pack.
Produced strictly in a five-door hatchback body configuration, the EX2 has an overall length of 4,135 mm, a wheelbase of 2,650 mm, and 160 mm of ground clearance. The interior provides seating for five passengers, supported by a 375-liter rear luggage space and an additional 70-liter front trunk under the hood. The vehicle's top speed is electronically capped at 130 km/h.
The single-motor electric powertrain produces 116 hp and draws power from a 39.4 kWh traction battery pack. It delivers an estimated range of up to 395 km based on the NEDC testing cycle, while DC fast charging allows charging from 30 to 80 percent capacity in approximately 21 minutes.

Horse Powertrain has revealed its new 3DHT200 hybrid powertrain, designed for rugged SUVs and capable of delivering up to 4,920 Nm of wheel torque. The system pairs two electric motors with a three-speed transmission, enabling 0-100 km/h acceleration in about 3 seconds and conquering 45-degree inclines. It is set to debut in the Galaxy Cruiser 700, featuring a tri-motor setup producing a combined 1,113 hp.
