BMW iX3 I (G08) gallery (2020–2024)

The first iX3 — an electric version of the G01 X3 built in Shenyang: a single rear motor, an 80 kWh battery and around 460 km WLTP.

The first iX3 appeared in 2020 as an electric version of the G01 X3 on the CLAR platform, sharing its body and interior. It was built solely at the BBA joint venture in Shenyang and exported worldwide from there — a rare case of a global BMW made exclusively in China.

A single fifth-generation eDrive motor of 286 hp drove the rear axle, an 80 kWh battery gave around 460 km on the WLTP cycle, and charging was capped at 150 kW. All-wheel drive was never offered. The iX3 was facelifted alongside the petrol X3 in 2021 and production ended in 2024 to make way for its Neue Klasse successor.
