BMW 3-series VIII gallery (2027–present)

The eighth-generation BMW 3 Series sports sedan is built on the CLAR architecture, retaining traditional internal combustion engines paired with 48-volt mild-hybrid systems to comply with emissions standards. The engine lineup features four-cylinder turbocharged engines, at least one diesel unit, and a plug-in hybrid option. Sitting at the top of the range is the new M Performance flagship, the M350 xDrive, replacing the previous M340i with an upgraded 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six producing 443 hp and 580 Nm of torque, achieving zero to 100 km/h in 4.1 seconds.

Compared to the preceding G20 generation, the new 3 Series introduces a dedicated Drift Moment setting within its xDrive all-wheel-drive system, routing full engine output exclusively to the rear wheels via an over-the-air software update. The interior adopts a minimalist layout centered on a 17.9-inch touchscreen and Panoramic Vision projection across the base of the windshield, while assembly moves from Munich to the Dingolfing plant.
