About the model

The first-generation Audi TT 8N debuted in 1998 on the transverse PQ34 platform, available as a distinctive two-door coupe and an open-top two-seater roadster. Power came from a turbocharged 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine and later an atmospheric 3.2-liter VR6, paired with manual gearboxes and early dual-clutch DSG transmissions alongside quattro drive.

The second generation 8J arrived in 2006, utilizing a lightweight hybrid aluminum and steel Space Frame construction. The powertrain lineup transitioned to direct-injection TFSI engines and efficient TDI diesels, while magnetic ride adaptive dampers and quick-shifting S tronic transmissions became key chassis highlights throughout its production run.

The third-generation 8S launched in 2014 on the modular MQB platform, retaining both coupe and roadster configurations. It introduced an integrated digital instrument cluster and sharp geometric exterior lines before production concluded in 2023 with final commemorative editions.
