The third-generation Audi Q5 introduces the PPC architecture and the first-ever high-performance RS Q5 plug-in hybrid.

The third generation of the Audi Q5 transitions to the Volkswagen Group's dedicated Premium Platform Combustion (PPC) architecture, which it shares directly with the newly restructured A5 lineup. The definitive highlight of this generation is the introduction of the first-ever RS Q5 performance flagship, featuring aggressive styling cues such as wide fender flares, an extended track, bespoke aerodynamics, and the signature RS dual oval exhaust outlets.

Under the hood, electrification takes center stage. The high-performance RS Q5 SUV adopts an advanced plug-in hybrid (PHEV) powertrain pairing a twin-turbocharged V6 combustion engine with an electric motor and a 25.9-kWh high-voltage battery. This electrified setup delivers a combined output of 630 horsepower and 825 Nm of torque, channeled through a specialized quattro all-wheel-drive system designed to master both brisk acceleration and daily electric commuting.

Compared to the outgoing second-generation FY model, the third-generation Q5 showcases upgraded chassis rigidity, a dramatically reworked digital cabin interface, and enhanced dynamics. The integration of modern hybrid technology and updated chassis electronics delivers substantially sharper responses without compromising cabin refinement.
