Navigation Unit for Porsche's Classic U.S. Cars
Porsche is applying new technology to the dashboard of the old vehicles in North America.
Even though the vehicle has been available in Europe for more than a year, the company will provide radio navigation set-up in Canada in the U.S. It will be available for regular 911 offerings that were produced from the 1960’s to the late 1990’s.
The unit features a tiny 3.5-inch touch-sensitive screen. It perfectly integrates into the given audio system. The driver gets navigation and optional SiriusXM satellite radio. The new head unit also features Bluetooth phone connection, an auxiliary-in port and two USB-ports.
6 knobs and 2 buttons control the unit. They fit in the classic Porsche styling. The radio still uses the regular built-in antenna.
Besides the aforementioned 911s, the new navigation set-up fits in the 912, 914, 924, 928, 944, and 968 offerings.
