Hyundai disbanded the division that dealt with internal combustion engines
Hyundai has closed the division preparing internal combustion engines at the South Korean R&D center in Namyang.
This decision is the full development of electric technology in electric cars.
Hyundai will no longer create internal combustion engines, and a team of engineers from this area has been transferred to the development team of electric cars. It is worth adding that a Battery Development Center recently appeared in Namyang.
The company plans to release Hyundai Ioniq 5 next year, and from 2024 the Ioniq 7 will appear. Hyundai is also working on hydrogen fuel cell technology.
