Audi Introduces Pricey 2025 A5 Model
Audi is updating its vehicle lineup with the introduction of the 2025 A5, effectively replacing the previous A4 and A5 models. The starting price for the latest A5 is set at $48,995, which includes a destination fee of $1,295. This represents a $3,600 price jump compared to the entry-level A4 it succeeds.
Comparatively, the outgoing A4 featured a 261 horsepower engine and 273 pound-feet of torque, accelerating from 0 to 60 mph in 5.2 seconds. The new A5 offers a slight power boost with 268 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque, though its 0 to 60 mph time has edged to 5.4 seconds. Standard features now include 18-inch wheels paired with all-season run-flat tires, while 19-inch wheels remain available as an option.
Introducing the New S5
Alongside the A5, Audi has unveiled the new S5, although pricing details are yet to be announced. The previous S4 model, boasting 349 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque, had a starting price of $56,195. If the trend continues, the new S5 could be priced close to $60,000.
The refreshed S5 delivers an increased 362 horsepower and 406 pound-feet of torque. However, it's heavier than its predecessor, with the four-door variant adding 419 pounds compared to the old S4, potentially impacting performance metrics. Standard features include 19-inch wheels, with 20-inch options available, and a slightly lowered suspension by 0.79 inches.
Additional Trim Levels
Pricing for other trim levels remains undisclosed. Audi's official website highlights the 2025 Audi A5 Prestige in Horizon Blue Metallic, equipped with the 19-inch wheel package, starting at $56,840. Further details are expected to emerge as the vehicle approaches its release date, anticipated before the second quarter.
