2026 Nissan Pathfinder Arrives with Enhanced Features and a Steeper Price

The 2026 Nissan Pathfinder, now in its fifth generation, has undergone a series of subtle upgrades. With refreshed exterior design and improved technology, the SUV's pricing has seen a moderate rise. The base S trim now starts at $38,995, reflecting an increase of $1,100 over the previous model year.

Under the hood, the Pathfinder continues to utilize the well-known 3.5-liter V6 engine delivering 284 horsepower and 259 lb-ft of torque. This powertrain is paired exclusively with a nine-speed automatic transmission. While front-wheel drive comes standard, buyers can opt for all-wheel drive throughout the lineup.

Nissan offers five trim levels for the Pathfinder: S, SV, SL, Rock Creek, and Platinum. Pricing for the SV begins at $41,395, the SL at $43,995, and the off-road-focused Rock Creek trim starts at $46,495. The top-tier Platinum is priced at $50,896. Adding all-wheel drive costs an additional $2,000 except for the Rock Creek, where it comes standard.

Compared to the outgoing model, the 2026 Pathfinder is slightly more expensive. The entry-level S trim commands $1,100 more, while the flagship Platinum is priced $760 higher than last year.

Additional options include premium paint finishes for $450 across all trims. Two-tone paint schemes, costing $1,000, are exclusive to the Rock Creek and Platinum variants. The Rock Creek trim also features specialized off-road suspension tuning, increased ground clearance, and distinctive 18-inch wheels.

Design updates include a reimagined front grille, while inside, a 12.3-inch infotainment display is now standard on all trims. Wireless connectivity for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto is included as well.

Another notable upgrade is the Qi2 wireless charging pad, which offers triple the charging speed of its predecessor. Nissan states it can recharge a smartphone from 10% to 90% in just over 90 minutes, a significant improvement over the previous four-hour charging time.

The 2026 Nissan Pathfinder is expected to be available in dealerships across the United States early next year.
