World record sales from BMW
The German company BMW says it has set a global record sales for the first quarter of 2021.
During the first three months of the new year, the Bavarians sold 636,606 cars, which is 33.5% more than the same period in 2020. This figure is the best for the entire history of the company.
The company stresses that an increase in sales was recorded for each BMW Group brand: BMW - 560,543 cars (+36.2%). Crossovers of X-line, 3-Series, and 5-Series were top-rated. 74,683 cars were sold by Mini (+16.2%) with its Countryman (+36%). The sporting lineup of BMW M also increased with 37,896 cars (+21%), where the BMW M440i Coupe, BMW X5 M, and BMW X6 M were the best sellers.
The company also sold 42,592 motorcycles (+22.5%).
