Mazda MX-5 became a retro roadster

Spanish tuning studio Hurtan Cars has developed and presented a roadster in retro-style.

The novelty is named Grand Albaycin after the Albaycin area in Spanish Granada.

The car is based on the Mazda MX-5. Carscoops writes that the new vehicle will be available in a limited edition of 30 units. Spanish engineers say that this project was approved by Mazda right away.

The car is estimated in Spain at 59 thousand euros. The body of the retro roadster has received dark green and beige shades. The design of the Grand Albaycin differs from the standard Mazda MX-5. The car got massive wheel arches, a different grille, round headlights, a hood in unusual shape, and a four-tube exhaust system.

Customers will be able to choose several variations of the novelty. Available for purchase is an auto with a soft folding roof or with a removable hardtop. Buyers also will have two body design options (classic Heritage style or sporty Bespoke).

The car has a 1.5-liter 132-horsepower diesel engine and a 2.0-liter 184-horsepower unit.
