Hyundai Ioniq 5 pre-orders break all records

Electric crossover Hyundai Ioniq 5 orders more than the company planned.

For one day in South Korea, more than 23,000 customers wanted to buy a car. Thus the index has surpassed the last record holder - the sixth generation of the updated Hyundai Grandeur.

The electric novelty has not yet wholly entered the car market, but the company has already reported record-breaking pre-orders. Hyundai explains the excitement by its careful attention to the needs and expectations of consumers.

The Ioniq 5 resembles a hatchback, but in fact, it is a mid-size crossover. The car supports charging from 800-volt stations to 350 kilowatts and bidirectional power transfer V2L, which allows you to connect it to the electrical appliances up to 3.5 kilowatts.

The new design has a retro styling and a transformer interior. The customer will be able to choose one of four versions. The Standard Range and Long Range, rear-drive, and all-wheel-drive versions are currently available.

The power of the model ranges from 170 to 306 "horses." The maximum range is 480 km on electric power. For Europe, the base Ioniq 5 will be priced at 41,900 euros.
