BMW X1 got restyled and appears on the photo

An updated BMW X1 is certified for China. Photos from the country's patent office show how the car change for the local car market.

Chinese BMW X1 (F48) will be a part of the BMW Brilliance Automotive JV. The novelty differs from the current version by the absence of round fog lamps, another front bumper with plastic lining, a wider radiator, which is now a single piece.

BMW X1 will be going on sale with a different motor range and more powerful units: the 1.5-liter turbo for 155 horses and the 2.0-liter engine will deliver 214 hp.

Additionally, the former plug-in hybrid X1 xDrive25Le will be available with a 1.5-liter 3-cylinder turbo engine, a 6-band Steptronic automatic transmission, and an electric motor. In total, an installation develops 231 hp and 382 Nm.
