Volkswagen will have a road racing Golf

Volkswagen conducted the announcement of their novelty by publishing teasers of the "civil" version of the racing hatchback Golf GTI TCR.

This car can ride on public roads. The debut of the car will be held May 9 in Austria, where this day will be the festival Worthersee.

The image hints that the novelty will be provided with special wheels, twin tailpipes and a huge rear diffuser. The Volkswagen Golf TCR will be powered by a 2.0-liter gasoline-powered supercharger for 290 "horses" with 370 Nm. The engine can work with a 7-step "robot" for 2 clutches.

It is worth recalling that the engine in the racing Golf TCR produces 350 hp. with 420 Nm of peak torque. Maximum speed "hot" hatch will be limited to 250 km / h. In the series the novelty will end in 2018.
