Hyundai plans to release a sports version of the Kona N SUV

A carmaker from South Korea is considering the release of the pumped crossover Hyundai Kona N SUV.

The first structural details and the expected terms of submission were leaked to the network. The intent of the brand became known, due to the leakage of data from a person who has access to the source. According to him, with a positive outcome of the corporate discussion, the project will be approved and presented to the general public by 2020. The company already has an engineering model, which will be the base for test tests. The checklist will include stages of testing the modified suspension, a new braking system and a new steering system.

According to the source, the new car will be equipped with a turbocharged petrol "engine" of 2 liters capacity and 250 hp. In a similar type, the Hyundai Kona N SUV will be delivered to the market. The basic equipment differs by the engine with a volume of 1.0 liters and a power of 120 hp. Acceleration to 100 km / h occurs in 12 seconds. In the presence of a 177-strong unit, this speed is achieved in 7.9 seconds. The future price formation is not yet known.
