Detroit Motor Show to be carried in summer

Not so long ago a motor show in Detroit was considered extremely popular. But now car dealers decided to move from January to June.

For the first time about Detroit started talking as a place where you do not need to show your car novelties during the crisis of 2008-2009. 9 years ago, the showroom ignored a dozen brands, with a drop in the number of visitors from 700,000 to 650,000 people. Then the situation improved slightly, for example, in 2010 the exhibition counted 715,000 people. Just compare: car dealers in Geneva, Paris, and Frankfurt usually attend up to 1.5 million people.

Detroit-2019 will now take place not in January, but in June. The event will be ignored by Audi, Daimler, BMW, Volvo, Tesla, Porsche, Mitsubishi, Mini, Jaguar, Land Rover, etc.

Act. director of the auto dealership Rod Alberts told Automotive News that perhaps all problems are related to the winter. The organizers will try to revive the motor show exactly in the coming summer.
