BMW presented the next year’s BMW 5 Series to the audience in Detroit.
The new offering was well-announced before the show. This new car is lighter and more high-end. The addition of the latest M55i xDrive offering is the fastest 5 Series so far. The price kicks off from $73,095 together with destination. The BMW M550i xDrive is equipped with a 4.4-litre twin-turbo eight-cylinder engine. It is able to produce 456 hp and torque of 480 pound-feet. The car accelerates to 60 mph in3.9 seconds.
The high-end sedan will provide the 530i and 540i offerings in America. It is equipped with a 2.0-litre turbo V4 motor that features 248 hp and torque of 332 lb-ft.
The 530e iPerformance from BMW is a plug-in hybrid with a total output of 248 hp and torque of 310 lb-ft. The price will kick off from $52,395. You will have to pay $2,300 more for FWD.
