New York, Wait for the MX-5 Roadster Coupe from Mazda
The NY Auto Show begins on March 23rd. Mazda reported about presenting a new offering at this event.
Though details are kept in secret, Mazda asked journalists to help it to remove the wraps of their creation. We assume that the automaker will present a new variant of the MX-5.
Autocar indicates that the Japanese producer will present the innovated MX-5 Roadster Coupe. There is not much information about the model. Some reports assure that it will gain a lighter retractable hardtop taking less luggage space. The MX-5 Roadster Coupe is expected to cost more than the regular offering (we remind you that its price kicks off at $24.915).
Engines will be carried over. Clients in the U.S. should expect an already known 2.0-litre SKYACTIV-G V4 item. It is able to generate 155 hp and torque of 148 pound-feet. The engine will be joined to a 6-speed manual gearbox. It can also be mated to an optional 6-speed automatic unit.
