A Sporty Electric i3 From BMW

BMW wants to give another life for the i3 electric hatch. The i3 from BMW is going to get a facelift in 2017.

According to the reports, there also will be a new top-list offering called the i3S. The new car should be sportier. It should benefit from the upgraded variant of the current i3’s electric engine. We don’t know how much performance it will provide. However, the current version gives out 170 hp and torque of 184 pound-feet. It accelerates 0-60 in 7.2 seconds.

The facelifted model under consideration will get new front and back fascias. Though, the changes will not be too crazy. The headlamps, infotainment set-up and cabin can also be updated. Expect to see increase in the range.

The facelifted i3 will be presented at the next year’s Motor Show held in Frankfurt in September.
