A Hot Hatch from Audi for Europe
Finally, the Audi RS1 has received green light! The Audi RS1 should perform 280 hp and feature FWD. It will be a rival to the MINI John Cooper Works offerings and the Fiesta ST from Ford. The next-gen offering will arrive only in 2018. The discussed car should be marketed on the old continent in 2017.
The RS1 will be equipped with the VW Group’s famous EA888 2.0-litre turbocharged V4 unit. As for transmission, there should be a regular 6-speed manual and an innovated 7-speed dual-clutch one.
Just like the S1, the new offering will receive 3- and 5-door body designs. However, this high-performance miracle will be offered for Europe.
