Nissan Maxima could gain NISMO Version

Nissan has stated about their current analysis of the future plans of producing a Maxima NISMO.

Vishnu Jayamohan , the product planner of 2016 Nissan Maxima, revealed to The Detroit Bureau that the automaker wants to find out if a Nismo-tuned variant can present a viable business case. This is the reason why they are expecting to receive feedback from potential clients. The product planner continued to notice that the NISMO brand would become a great outlet for the innovated model. He also announced that the new Maxima will not get a coupe or any other kind of body style.

If a Maxima tweaked by NISMO will receive green light, it will have a significant power boost in comparison with the standard offering. The regular model can boast 300 hp (or 223 kW) and torque of 261 lb-ft (or 353 Nm) provided by its 3.5-litre six-cylinder engine. Moreover, the innovated variant would receive larger brakes and more aggressive body. There would be revisions to the steering and suspension. Therefore, the vehicle would be more agile than the $32,410 stock offering. The last one is described by the automaker as a four-door sports vehicle with a matching design.
