Infiniti may produce the Q50 Eau Rouge
Infiniti assures that the Q50 Eau Rouge could become a production vehicle.
The boss of the company has stated that the attractive concept from the last year could still be seen in the range in future. According to him, the Eau Rouge can be perceived as a halo offering of their premium brand. The model is able to symbolize performance and power.
Though, anticipation of the offering will be long as the automaker pays all its attention to the Q30, QX30 duo and the 2016 Q60 now. The last one is going to be “very special”, says the boss. The vehicle will probably be equipped with a 3.0-litre twin-turbo engine. This unit will also power the Q50 sedan. The director considers that the engine is a first move in a “grade walk” the company must do in the close future.
Therefore, the Q50 Eau Rouge is not Infiniti’s priority at the moment. The offering is very appealing with the 3.8-litre twin-turbo six-cylinder motor. We remind you, that it was sourced from the Nissan GT-R. The car’s aggressive styling perfectly matches its heart. The automaker did not believe that this offering could become a profitable affair. That is why the model has not made it to the range so far. Infiniti was not sure if the sales numbers would be high enough to cover the development expenses.
