Fresh arrival: the all-new 2027 Infiniti QX65 revealed

After navigating several challenging years marked by declining sales, Infiniti is actively expanding its vehicle portfolio once again. While the Japanese luxury automaker has continued to rely on established staples like the full-size QX80 and the three-row QX60, it is now broadening its showroom with the all-new coupelike QX65. Looking further ahead, Infiniti is also planning the return of an enthusiast sport sedan and the launch of new off-road-oriented SUVs.

The centerpiece of the 2027 range is the all-new Infiniti QX65, which fills the entry-level void created when the QX50 was discontinued after the 2025 model year. Designed as a two-row, coupelike derivative of the three-row QX60, the QX65 combines a sporty profile with generous cargo utility and a comprehensive active driver assistance suite. Every QX65 is powered by a 2.0-liter VC-Turbo turbocharged inline-four engine producing 268 hp and 286 lb-ft of torque, paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. The crossover rides on 20-inch wheels standard, with 21-inch options available. Inside, the cabin features dual 12.3-inch displays with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a wireless charging pad, four USB-C ports, and an available 10.8-inch display. Audio packages progress from an 11-speaker setup on the Luxe trim ($55,535) and a 16-speaker Klipsch system on the Sport trim ($57,930) to a 20-speaker Klipsch configuration on the top-tier Autograph trim ($66,035). The Autograph model also gains massaging front seats, heated rear seats, quilted perforated leather, a hands-free power liftgate, and standard 21-inch wheels. The QX65 is arriving in dealerships now.

The three-row 2027 Infiniti QX60 carries over with minor equipment updates. The base Pure grade switches from 20-inch to 18-inch wheels, the flagship Autograph loses adaptive headlights, and Deep Bordeaux exterior paint has been removed. Additionally, the Sport trim can now be equipped with a second-row bench seat instead of captain’s chairs. In previous evaluations, the 2026 model ranked fourth among three-row luxury SUVs.

Meanwhile, the full-size 2027 Infiniti QX80, which entered its third generation for 2025, adds optional ProPilot Assist 2.1 highway driving assist to its Luxe trim. Infiniti is also preparing specialized variants, including a high-performance version previewed by the Track Spec concept. While that concept produced over 650 hp and 750 lb-ft of torque via upgraded compressors, an enlarged intercooler, new fuel injectors, ram air intake, and lower-restriction exhaust, a production model is slated to make over 600 hp from its 3.5-liter twin-turbo V-6, complemented by Brembo brakes, 24-inch wheels, quad exhaust tips, and aggressive splitters. A rugged Terrain Spec concept also hints at an off-road variant featuring 35-inch all-terrain tires, recalibrated stability control, and retuned suspension.

Looking beyond 2027, Infiniti intends to resurrect the Q50 nameplate around 2028 as an enthusiast-focused rear-wheel-drive sedan on the next-generation Skyline FM platform, expected to offer the Nissan Z's 3.0-liter twin-turbo V-6 with manual or automatic gearboxes and over 400 hp. For 2029, a redesigned compact QX50 is projected to arrive on the Nissan Rogue platform with an e-Power hybrid system. Finally, Infiniti is developing two new body-on-frame SUVs derived from the upcoming Nissan Xterra platform: a two-row five-passenger off-roader with a V-6 engine, and a three-row luxury sibling to the Nissan Pathfinder that could wear the QX70 badge.
