Comfortable and Quiet Titan XD from Nissan

Nissan has shown the 8th installment of the Titan Truckumentary.

The video under consideration was dubbed “The sounds of silence”.  It is possible to see in it how the automaker’s engineers were given task to minimize NVH (Noise, Vibration and Harness) in the innovated Titan XD.

Technicians and engineers were using dozens of microphones and other equipment for sound testing during the process. All these pains helped to find out how to keep the vehicle as quiet as a lamb. The specialists made the 5.0-litre eight-cylinder Cummins turbodiesel motor of the truck sound as pleasing as possible. Meanwhile, it does not invade the space of the cabin.

John DeYoung from the company tells that owners use the truck both for pleasure (for example, going out for a dinner with their families or camping on the weekend) and as their work car. Therefore, the brand understands that the car must be very functional. Besides, the opportunity of taking phone calls must be included. Actually, DeYoung insisted that the owner must be able to work and live in the car. That is the reason why people see quietness as the most significant selling point for full-sized trucks at the moment.
