Steering Problems of 2015 Golf and GTI

At first Volkswagen had to suspend the sales order of Golf and GTI, and now a full-fledged recall campaign is initiated.

A little more than two thousand vehicles will be recalled. Problem with steering in them arises from faulty and unreliable fasteners installed in the steering department. For a driver the situation looks in the following way: while using the steering wheel a problem with smoothness occurs forcing them to use more power, which potentially is accident-dangerous.

Assembly dates of the affected units range from the end of January till mid-May. Thankfully no one and no car was harmed due to the issue. The core of the problem might be hidden in torque deficiency during construction tests. However, the defect is easily fixed by the maintenance workers. The campaign will start by the beginning of August.
