No More Retro for Nissan IDx

Retro epoch will soon be axed for the unusual IDx concepts.

The future of the sports car from now on implies a radical change to aggressiveness manifested in “muscle” addition. In reality the realization of the new approach will make the presented peculiarly styled Nissan IDx concept strip off its retro touch. Notably, such famous models as Datsun, Skyline and Laurel fed the designers of the concept with their ideas.

Sports Sedan Concept has turned to be closer to the future production Nissan IDx than planned initially while showcasing it in Detroit earlier in 2014. In terms of the platform, the new Z will provide it. Official propulsion has not been confirmed yet, but chances are high that it will all end up with a mill of 2.0-litres volume and output of approximately 180 hp. This assumption automatically gives the powerplant reference to Subaru and Scion offerings. At least 2.5 years will pass before the advent of the new IDx generation.
