Looks like BMW M340i M Performance Was Spied
An exciting and mysterious prototype of BMW 3-Series has been spied while testing in Spain.
The car’s body reminds the 335i, though can be characterized with updated braking system with yellow calipers. Now there is no any version of the 3-Series using those braking system as a standard. This fact is hinting that the vehicle could be a M340i M Performance variant of the car.
Motor.es tells that the M340i M Performance will be equipped with an innovated B58B30M0 3.0-litre V6 powertrain. The powertrain will be able to produce 365 - 375 HP (or 268 - 276 kW). It looks like the car will join the 3-Series line-up in the next year after a facelift. The M340i M Performance will become a competitor to the Mercedes-Benz C450 AMG which is planned to be presented at the Motor Show in Detroit next month.
There is also a chance that this is the 340i variant which is gossiped to replace the current 335i model in the next year.
